coin counting

*25, 50, 75, 100 - make it into a song to teach counting quarters.

*Laminate large colored circles
which have corresponding "points" on them. Ex: red = 10, green = 5, purple = 25, blue = 1. Hide circles around the room, and have students find them. At the end of the hunt, have them add up their circles, to see how much they've collected.  Emphasize that the amounts are just like real money.  Can also create large coins, instead of colored circles for students to hunt.
